Love cats but not ready for your own? Maybe your lifestyle doesn’t allow time for you to adopt, then fostering may be a great alternative. Fostering is a great way to help our cats and kittens on your own time, in the comfort of your own home for a few weeks or months.

To become a foster home for Furry Friends, a Foster Application must be completed, references checked and the home inspected. Once vaccines are completed, cats in foster care are required to attend at least two (2) pet showings per month. Foster parents are to maintain the health and well-being of each cat in their care; with cats remaining indoors at all times. The foster lead shall make the determination on providing food, litter and will schedule all required medical. We request a commitment from the foster home to keep the cat(s) in their home until the cat(s) are adopted, and require a fourteen (14) day notice to remove cat(s) from their home.

Furry Friends is in need of fosters! If you're interested, please see the forms below or call (360) 993-1097 for more information. Thank you!

About our foster homes

Furry Friends has volunteers who safely foster pets until they find a forever home. Besides providing our pets with a safe shelter and medical care, the kitties also enjoy social interaction with other pets and with our volunteers. This helps shy or scared pets feel secure again and become accustomed to human interaction to prepare them for their new homes.

We sometimes have kittens that are just being weaned and those that are semi-feral who need loving foster families who will work with them to domesticate them for adoptions.
