“I adopted Darry, now Juniper, in September 2022,” explains Padon. “The previous year, my dad had passed away, and I’m still struggling with that grief.
“I lost everything, it seemed, at one time. I lost my family home, somewhere to stay at 17, until I was generously taken in for awhile by a friend. Ultimately, I found an apartment with a roommate, and that’s when I decided to adopt a cat. This would be my first cat – and, to be honest, he’s saved me.
“He’s turned my house into a home. He greets me every time I walk through the door and faithfully follows me everywhere I go. Although he’s clearly obsessed with me, Juniper also adores being the recipient of all of my attention, and is the chattiest, cuddliest kitty I’ve ever been around.
“I love this boy, who recently turned one, SO much! Agile, athletic and extremely active, he prefers chasing games such as chasing after the laser pointer to simply playing with toys. He also has a sensitive tummy. But after some trial and error while working with our vet, we finally found a food that agrees with him and he’s happier than ever!”
