“When I lost my 15-year-old Yorkshire terrier, Murphy, I knew that I didn’t want another dog,” Jean explains.

“Living alone, and having always had cats in the past, I knew what I needed and what I’d most enjoy was the companionship of a kitty again. Rather than choose a young kitten, I had my heart set instead on a healthy but older cat.

“The minute I met 5-year-old Pixie (this is her original name and it suits her perfectly), I was taken in by how beautiful and how very social she was. And I wanted her!

“No sooner had I brought her home than she made herself happily at home in my place. Extremely affectionate, she loves everyone and everyone loves her, especially my daughters. And whenever she hears my friends on zoom, she ‘insists’ on seeing them with me.

“I’m so very grateful to have my precious Pixie, enriching my world and lighting up my life.”
