“These are the first cats we’ve adopted since having cats as kids,” Lori says. “And although we’d come up with some new names, we decided to keep the names Salem and Sabrina.
“Ryan and I were looking for a bonded pair and these sisters were perfect. After meeting with Patience and the kittens, we knew we wanted to adopt them. When we brought them home, it took about 24 hours of them hiding under the couch before they emerged, started exploring the house and letting us love on them.
“We had lost two beloved dogs in the last year, and we were having a rough time with the idea of adopting dogs again, so we started looking at cats. Although making the adjustment from having two large dogs to these sweet girls has been a learning experience, we wouldn’t change a thing. They now rule the house!
“While they both love the cat tower and cat hammock, they spend most of their time staring at the hummingbird feeders and deer or chasing each other around the house. They also love their cat tunnel and a toy that lets them chase a lighted ball. Adorably affectionate, they love snuggles, especially when you’ve got a warm blanket on your lap.
“Sabrina is a cuddle bug, but Salem is definitely more aloof and usually wants love on her own schedule – such as waking us up for love in the middle of the night! As for sleeping arrangements, they either sleep in their cat tower or in bed with us.”
