We depend solely on the time, dedication, and passion of our volunteers to fulfill our mission of helping homeless, neglected, and abused cats. Would you like to be a part of that mission? There are many ways you can help to make a difference in the life of the cats we rescue.
Ways to volunteer:

- Foster Care: provide safe, stress-free, healthy home environment to socialize and love kittens and cats while you prepare them for a forever home.
- Petsmart Adoption Center Shifts: clean litter boxes, sweep, feed/water, play with/socialize cats.
- Weekend Adoption Events: Time commitment varies; transport cats and equipment to local events; be friendly, outgoing and professional with public and prospective adopters. Also, fundraising, senior visits/pet therapy visits, voicemail and email support.

VOICE MAIL RETRIEVAL: We are still looking for two volunteers to join the voicemail team on Wednesdays and Saturdays. You can access the messages from anywhere and at your convenience. It’s a challenging job because some of the stories are very sad, and there’s nothing we can do to help, but it’s a very important job and we really need your help.
HALFWAY HOUSE ASSISTANT: We need people for Tuesday, Thursday or Friday morning shifts. Volunteers must follow house procedures and protocols; must be dependable (the cats rely on you); clean litter boxes; wash/dry bedding; sweep/vacuum/mop; feed/water; give medications; play/socialize cats. Shifts last from one to two hours.
EMAIL RETRIEVAL: Our longtime volunteer, Chris Kiefer, who has retrieved and answered every email for the last 7 years wants to move on to other FF tasks. We are trying to divide the job up and need two people to assist with different inquiries and jobs initiated through our emails. You can do this from your computer at home. Please contact Jennifer for more information. Jenniferhart62@gmail.com
MEDICAL ASSISTANT: We are looking for a medical assistant to gently restrain cats for medical exams. You will be interviewed by Sandy Bush, our vet tech, before being accepted. You do not need a medical background, but you do need to be good at following directions. You can’t be afraid to hold cats still and you need to have enough strength to restrain cats for blood draws. You can work as much or as little as you want.
HANDY PERSON: We are looking for people to assist our Facility Manager, Dan Lindorfer, with assorted jobs at the Halfway House. Jobs vary from putting up a shelf to construction projects to pouring concrete. Please contact Dan at email@example.com and let him know what type of project you would be willing to help with.
GRANT WRITER: We’re looking for experienced grant writers to help us with some important projects. If you’re interested, please contact Sandi Long at firstname.lastname@example.org or (360) 921-0420.
