We are a no-kill cat rescue non-profit
Furry Friends is careful to adhere to the rules of the IRS. Founded in 1999, we are supported by monetary and in-kind donations and operated entirely by volunteers.
Furry Friends Mission
Furry Friends' Mission is to help homeless, neglected, or abused cats by providing the following services:
- Medical care until the cats are re-homed
- Spaying and neutering
- Providing a safe, healthy and socialized environment for the cats in our care
- Educating the community in responsible pet ownership and care
Advocating for no-kill
Due to overpopulation, many homeless cats are currently euthanized in the state of Washington. We assist other groups to accomplish a no-kill status in the state of Washington by educating, spaying and neutering, and rehoming cats.
Furry Friends Governance
Furry Friends is a volunteer run organization. The Executive Committee has the overall authority to make financial and operating decisions; we report our financial information annually to the Internal Revenue Service by filing Form 990.

Furry Friends is proud to be a member of the Washington Federation of Animal Care and Control Agencies!
The Federation strives and advocates for the humane treatment of animals in WA State through legislation, training, sundry programs, and various support services. In addition, they work hard to reduce the number of unwanted, lost, and neglected companion animals in the state.
