“We adopted Butter and Chevy (formerly Batter) in December of 2022,” says Mira. “We both grew up with lots of kitties and having moved out on our own, we only had one kitty, Turbo, who was a bottle baby I had rescued.

“Neither of us had ever had the experience of owning an orange cat, so we set out to find him an orange companion. We quickly found Butter on the Furry Friends website after deciding to support a local non-profit group. As it happened, our sweet little Butter had a sibling, and we absolutely couldn’t separate them. And so, the adventure began!

“It only took a few days before we had a trio of kittens following us around our new home and climbing the Christmas tree. Our lives are so much better now that we have a whole crew with us. Whenever we get home from work, we’re happily greeted at the door by one, two, or all three of them.

“The two brothers love playing with any dropped straws and all cardboard boxes. Although both Butter and Chevy love being cuddled, Butter will flop on the floor in front of you to make you stop and pet him, while Chevy prefers to circle in and out between your feet. They are both very affectionate and clingy and prefer to sleep in bed with us or on their cat condo or cat hammocks. They also know the sound of the treat jar being opened and come running whenever they hear it or any similar sound. They both love water, and will often jump right into the shower or into the sink when the taps are turned on.

“We simply can’t imagine our lives without them!”
