Amy has volunteered at Furry Friends since October 2022.

The retired RN had seen a story about us on the news and knew that she wanted to help. She used to volunteer every Wednesday and Friday but had to stop once the school year started since she’s currently a substitute teacher.

Proud of being a socializer, but proudest of being a permanent foster (she’s Wally’s mom), she has two other kitties: Dottie Mae and Chester Copperpot. Her favorite part about volunteering is being around so many sweet cats and the wonderful people who also volunteer, although her greatest challenge is not adopting every kitty she falls in love with.

The reason Amy gives back is because she wants, more than anything, to help change the lives of these kitties who all deserve the best lives possible!

In her free time, she loves to read, watch her favorite TV series (she’s been watching “Suits”), cook, work out and go out to eat.
