Azula and the Bumps: Furry Friends Fur-Ever Tail

“We have had several cats, including one we adopted from Furry Friends 15 years ago,” says Tina. “And although Cindy was Azula’s original name, we changed it to Azula aka ‘Fire Lord’ for the orange streak on her head.

“I saw her picture on the Furry Friends Facebook page and she looked so sweet. She looks as though she has Maine Coon in her and we were extremely interested. She has HUGE paws, and while she’s not quite 10 months old, she’s already much bigger than our other cat!

“Fortunately, Azula’s adjustment to our home was immediate. She loves her family members, especially one of our daughters. She seemed to bond with her the most. She’s such a joy, greeting us at the door when we come home. We recently lost our dog (she loved our dog), and she’s filled a bit of a hole in our hearts. Sadly though, she wants to play with our elderly cat, but that cat isn’t receptive to her advances.

“Azula loves hair ties. She gets up on the bathroom counter and pulls them out of the box and flips them around. We often find them in odd places in the house. My husband finds them most often in his shoes! She also loves pushing the dog’s ball around the floor, and her bird that chirps when she touches it.

“She LOVES being petted and cuddled! In fact, she’ll climb onto our laps and rub her face on ours until we pet her. She also loves burrowing under blankets to sleep. If any family member is sitting in the living room with a blanket, she wants to crawl under it. She’ll even get up on the bathroom counter, put her front paws on our chests and head butt us! And at night, she sleeps at the foot of our bed.”
