Join Us This #GivingTuesday to Build a Brighter Future for Furry Friends
On Tuesday, December 3, Furry Friends will participate in #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving that encourages individuals, communities, and organizations to come together and support the causes that matter most. This year, we’re setting our sights on an ambitious goal: raising $202,000 to help complete our new medical building. This facility will be a game-changer for the homeless and neglected cats and kittens in our community, and we need your support to make it a reality.
Our Goal: $202,000 for the New Medical Building
We are thrilled to share that we’re already partway through our fundraising journey to complete our new medical building. However, we still need to raise approximately $325,000 to reach our total estimated cost of $500,000. Your generous contribution on #GivingTuesday will bring us one step closer to this important milestone. Furry Friends cares for around 900 cats and kittens annually and gets no funding from the city, county or state. The spay and neuter operations are one of our largest expenses, so this medical facility will allow us to drastically cut those costs, and in turn, allow us to help EVEN MORE cats in our community.
We’re thrilled to announce that Julie Baldino of Front Door Realty, a longtime and dedicated supporter, is once again stepping up to make a difference! For this year’s #GivingTuesday fundraiser, Julie has pledged a generous $1,000 match. As a repeat Match Donor for several of our past campaigns, her continued commitment means the world to us. Julie’s ongoing support helps us reach our fundraising goals faster and makes our efforts that much more impactful. Thank you, Julie, for being such an incredible ally in our mission!
Double Your Impact for #GivingTuesday!
$100,000 MATCH
We are excited to share that longtime supporter Dr. Virginia Huang has made a truly remarkable commitment for #GivingTuesday this year!
Dr. Huang has committed to matching every donation up to $100,000, effectively DOUBLING your gift! That means every dollar you donate will go twice as far—$10 becomes $20, $100 becomes $200, $1,000 becomes $2,000, and so on... Thanks to Dr. Huang’s generous support, we’re one step closer to realizing our dream of building our medical facility and helping even MORE cats and kittens in need.

Why This Medical Building Matters
The new medical building isn’t just a space for veterinary care—it’s a vital part of our mission to help reduce the number of homeless cats in our community and provide them with the highest standard of care. Here's how it will benefit our shelter and the larger community:
Bringing Spay/Neuter Services In-House: By building our own medical facility, we will be able to provide spay/neuter surgeries on-site. This will give us greater access to these essential services, save money in the long run, and allow us to operate more sustainably.
Launching a Community TNR Program: We plan to work with a local trapper to implement a Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program for community cats. This effort will help reduce the number of kittens born outside, curbing the population of stray and feral cats in our community.
Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Program for Seniors: With this new building, we hope to launch a low-cost spay/neuter program specifically for seniors on limited incomes. We will handle transportation, ensuring that cost is never a barrier to keeping pets healthy and out of the shelter system.
Spay/Neuter Services for Local Rescue Partners: Our new medical facility will also offer affordable, sustainable spay/neuter services to other local rescue groups who may not have reliable access to veterinary care. This collaboration will strengthen our entire rescue community.
This #GivingTuesday, we invite you to help us raise $202,000 for our new medical building. Here’s how you can make a difference:
Donate: Every dollar counts! Whether you can give $5, $50, or $500, your contribution will directly support the realization of our medical building and the critical services it will provide.
Spread the Word: Share our #GivingTuesday campaign with your friends, family, and social networks. The more people we can reach, the closer we get to our goal!
Join the Movement: Consider organizing your own fundraising campaign or match someone else’s donation to amplify your impact!
Thank you for your generosity, and for being part of the Furry Friends family. We couldn’t do this without you!
