Interested in fostering?
Love cats but not ready for your own? Maybe your lifestyle doesn’t allow time for you to adopt? Fostering may be a great alternative.
Fostering is a great way to help our cats and kittens on your own time, in the comfort of your
own home for a few weeks or months.
About our foster homes
Furry Friends has volunteers who safely foster pets until they find a forever home. Besides providing our pets with a safe shelter and medical care, the kitties also enjoy social interaction with other pets and with our volunteers. This helps shy or scared pets feel secure again and become accustomed to human interaction to prepare them for their new homes.
You can help make a life-saving difference by becoming a volunteer foster parent today. Furry Friends will provide food, litter, cat supplies and all medical care. Fosters are required to bring their foster cat to our pet showings at least once a month for the public to view.
Foster a cat
To become a foster home for Furry Friends, a Foster Application must be completed, references checked and the home inspected. Once vaccines are completed, cats in foster care are required to attend at least one (1) pet showing per month.
If you are interested, please complete the online application or download the PDF and fax it to
1-800-353-1686 or email it to information@furryfriendswa.org. For questions or more information call 360-993-1097.
Care for a kitten (or kittens!) in your home
We sometimes have kittens that are just being weaned and those that are semi-feral who need loving foster families who will work with them to domesticate them for adoptions.
Fill out a foster application in the section above if you are interested in fostering kittens.
