Popo and the Jacobsons: Furry Friends Fur-Ever Tail

Rachel has loved many cats in her life, and right now she and her husband have three, including their most recent addition.

“Called Lovebug when we brought him home, we renamed him Popo, which has since morphed, as pet names do. We now call him Po,” Rachel says. “We chose him because of his giant fluffy butt. This three-pound ball of floof with the monster feet became our 14-pound ‘force of chaos and love’ within the year!

“He took no time settling in and by day two he was running the place. Po drives us crazy, climbing, playing and chasing. But he also gives the best cuddles, burrows under the covers, and coos when he’s telling you all about his day. In fact, Po is all about snuggles.

“We had adopted a feral rescue named Myrtle a few months before we got Po. She was so afraid that she hid in the closet all the time, only coming out at night to eat. We had never even touched her. In comes Po, and in exploring his new place, he found her hiding spot. It wasn’t long before he convinced her to come out and play, and now they are very much in love! Myrtle joins the group snuggle (me included) every night now.

“Po loves chasing his ball around the kitchen and using the climbing wall that we built for him which is a favorite of his. He also taught Myrtle to play with the rug by burrowing under it while she jumps on top.

As for Po’s sleeping arrangements: “Po is either sleeping on the couch pillow or on top of me in bed. Fourteen-pound Po is better than any weighted blanket! 
“Thank you for helping us find each other.”
