Henry, Albert and Nigel and the Wilds: Furry Friends Fur-Ever Tail

“When we adopted Henry (formerly Todd) in May of 2023, he joined our other cats, Rudi and Gary, from other rescues,” Emily explains.

“When I found Henry, he was just hanging out by himself and really enjoyed being petted. When he came into the room with us, he just sat on my lap and purred and purred! When we got Albert and Nigel, I had been looking online for a younger cat to play with my Gary, who runs on his own time and has no ‘off’ switch, but I kept coming back to sweet Nigel’s profile. I loved little Albert’s face, and after meeting him, I knew he would be an easy addition.

“Henry spent the first week on his own in the spare bedroom. He was very sweet, but very shy, and I think he was just confused to find himself on his own. Albert spent four hours in the spare room with Nigel, and then decided he wanted to meet the other kitties whom he could hear. Nigel took awhile, being older and unused to so many changes, but he soon joined the others and surprised us by how much he LOVES playing!

“We’re so lucky that this little ‘herd’ gets along so well, that all of them love one another and love playing together. Nigel loves playing with toys and playing chase. Albert loves playing with Gary, and they love to romp and wrestle. Henry is my quiet working buddy who sits with me at my desk during the day and then curls up on the couch with me in the evenings. He likes to play a bit at nighttime, and loves snuggling in bed.

“Albert is a total youngster and loves his techno toys, the laser and his electronic flapping fish. Nigel also loves the laser but he particularly loves his crocheted toys and peacock feathers. He also loves chittering at the birds outside. Henry loves the felt ribbon wand and the small mice that he can throw around.

“Albert loves having his chin scratched and gives head butts to show his love for us. Nigel enjoys being held, petted and brushed, and being under a blanket with you. Henry is the snuggler and loves nothing more than being held or lying on your lap.

“As for sleeping? They sleep all over the place. They tend to cycle through the bedroom with us or on the couch. But they mostly sleep during the day in their cat condos and spend the night playing.”
