Henry and Megan Benavides: Furry Friends Fur-Ever Tail

“Previously called Bruno, Henry was part of a litter of black kittens who weighed 11 ounces when they were found and bottle fed,” Megan explains. “Although I’ve wanted a black cat for a very long time, I’ve never owned one. My 15-year-old kitty Lena (formerly Ivana) I adopted from Furry Friends is tired now and I wanted a playmate for 3-year-old Stanley (formerly Mouse) I also adopted from Furry Friends. I could tell he was bored, and adopting Henry was the best decision I ever made.

“Stanley and Henry are so adorable together. They play and run around all day. Henry is extremely food motivated and acts as if he hasn’t been fed, so it’s quite hilarious to witness. He’s a giant love bug who lies on my lap and chest. Finally got a lap cat: first in 38 years! He’s glued to me all day long, then sleeps under the bed at night, but he’ll snuggle with me in the early hours of the morning.

“He’s very playful and extremely smart, too smart sometimes. Lol! I chose Henry when I visited PetSmart because he had this ‘I’m not shy’ face. That’s what I needed since my other two are shy. I always pick out my cats online and when I meet them in person, they fit their descriptions every time. I love it. My house had more love to give and I know three cats may seem like a lot, but not for me. Henry completes our household. He pretty much owned it the minute he came in.

“It was a week before Lena and Stanley stopped being afraid of him. Yes, you heard that right. Henry bulldozed the house. Lol! My boyfriend and I are absolutely obsessed with him. Thank you Furry Friends, you truly have the best cats, and I have been blessed.”
