Maggie and Rodney and Anne Ross: Furry Friends Fur-Ever Tail
“When I lost my 21-year-old angel, it took six months to feel ready to fill that void,” says Anne. “I saw Maggie’s photo (previously Hanna) and noticed that she had been available for adoption for a few months. I also thought that she needed me.
“She was very shy, but gradually, day by day, she’d let me get a little closer, and I found that she couldn’t resist a good stroke or a chin scratch. At the same time, I thought that she would benefit from having another cat in the house and I couldn’t stop thinking about her brother (previously Haiku) who was also available. Although they weren’t a bonded pair at the time, I believe they are now as ‘wherever goes one, so goes the other.’
“Rodney was shy for about two weeks and then suddenly he decided this was home. I discovered the way to his heart was through play. He has an insatiable appetite for the laser pointer and pull toy. He is a very amusing character, and if I’m not available, he’ll keep himself busy by opening all the drawers and closets and pulling things out and replacing them with his toys. I never thought I would need child locks at this stage of my life!
“I think of Rodney as my little miracle boy. If it weren’t for Furry Friends, he would have died of (FIP) feline infectious peritonitis. The treatment for this disease is arduous and takes many weeks but here he is -- a healthy bundle of mischief!
“Both Maggie and Rodney have unique, sweet personalities. and I couldn’t be happier with my decision to adopt these two.
“Thanks Furry Friends!”
