Bayley and the Brandts: Furry Friends Fur-Ever Tail

“We already had a 13-year old-female kitty when we adopted Bayley,” Shelley says. “Although her original name was Quinn, she was born on St. Patrick’s Day 2024 and we thought Bayley was more fitting.

“We chose her because she was the tiniest of the bunch, and she just called to us. Her adjustment to our home was immediate, and within 24 hours she and our other cat were getting along wonderfully! To be frank, we couldn’t imagine our life and home without Bayley. She is truly one of a kind and the piece we were missing.

“Bayley LOVES to play fetch with a hair tie. Not kidding! You toss the hair tie and she runs and gets it, puts it in her mouth and drops it right in front of you and stares at you until you throw it again. She also loves playing with toy mice.

“While she loves to cuddle when she’s asleep, she isn’t much for pets except for a short pet on her head. She’s too busy for that. She’s aloof when she wants to be, but she can definitely be a baby. And she’s bright. She knows the word ‘treats,’ and she will come running down from upstairs as soon as she hears me say the word because she knows it’s time for treats!”

As for sleeping arrangements at night: “Bayley usually sleeps cuddled against me.

“She has truly been such a gift to us!”
