Newton and Michelle Heath: Furry Friends Fur-Ever Tail

“Newton is the latest kitty to enter my life,” says Michelle. “I was drawn to his picture on the Furry Friends website and felt badly that he had been at the shelter for six months.

“When I adopted him, he adjusted gradually to his new surroundings, taking approximately two months before he felt totally comfortable here. Now he’s an integral part of the household and my constant companion. While Newton’s not a fan of being held, he definitely LOVES being petted! And he LOVES playing with toys. He has toys everywhere.”

As for one of his most endearing habits? “Given his size, considering that he’s a Maine Coon, he doesn’t just sit, he flops! We call it the ‘Newton flop.’”

And Newton’s sleeping arrangements at night? “On the bed.”
